I am Günay, originally from Baku, Azerbaijan <3 I relocated to Germany 12 years ago, and for the last 7 years, I have been calling Hamburg my home.

How would you describe gamelight using three hashtags?

#innovative #challenging #exciting

If you were to create a game or app about your life, what would it be, and what would it look like?

It would be a mix of Sims and Strategy games. Would have Renaissance vibes, dark wood, candlelights, a campfire, pretty decor, and clothes. The goal would be to evolve the character in many different directions.

What would you choose: Sea or Mountains? Sunny or Snowy? Cats or Dogs? Morning or Night Person?

Which dream country do you want to visit and why?

Used to be Cambodia, Italy, Vietnam, and Jordan, which I have visited. Now it is the Philippines, Peru, Japan, and New Zealand.

How did you come to be in the app industry and Gamelight?

Almost 10 years ago I started my 1st mobile gaming job in Berlin. From then on I fell in love with how much fun this industry is and how a job can actually bring you joy. I am a Co-Founder of Gamelight.

What are the things you like the most about your job?

Right now what brings me the most joy is seeing very positive feedback from our clients. Every single (!) partner we launched is happy and scaled their activities with us. That does not happen too much in the ad-tech industry and it makes me proud to see what we have managed to build.

With whom in the team would you switch work positions for 1 day? Why?

With any of the developers. Maybe one day I can hand over all of my other responsibilities and become a full-time developer <3 Dreams..

What are your main highlight moments in gamelight ?

Each time we developed a new breakthrough feature! Seeing how your ideas have just converted from "maybe" into a proven working concept is amazing.
