A bold imitation of Palworld is currently open for pre-orders on Apple's App Store

At the moment, 'PalWorld' is available for pre-order in the UK App Store and ranks as the second result when searching for the game's title. Interestingly, its developer seems to have directly copied Palworld assets for the in-store screenshots, and is identified as 'Oleksandra Kryvcun', with no other games currently live on the App Store. Surprisingly, the game's provider is listed as 'Blue Ridge Gutter Cleaning LLC'. Notably, a search on the Google Play store does not yield any Palworld clones. We reached out to Apple for comment and will update this story accordingly.

In a post on Palworld's official English-language X feed, PocketPair emphasized that there is no official Palworld application for phones. They highlighted that apps using similar names and product images are appearing on both the App Store and Google Play, but they are not associated with their company. PocketPair reported the issue to both Apple and Google, warning users that downloading these apps may compromise personal information or result in fraud.

Palworld has garnered immense popularity worldwide, often being dubbed as 'Pokémon with guns'. The emergence of a mobile clone doesn't come as a surprise, but it arrives at an inopportune time for Apple, especially amidst recent discussions about the safety and security of its App Store. Apple recently unveiled new App Store policies in response to demands for increased competition from legislators in the US and EU.

As previously reported, many leaders in the mobile gaming industry are dissatisfied with Apple's proposed solutions to comply with new EU laws.
