Matchingham Games' spin-off, Ginger Joy, has secured £1 million ($1.26 million) to pioneer the development of an ecosystem featuring interoperable blockchain-based mobile games. Departing from the conventional approach of adapting browser-based games for mobile platforms, Ginger Joy is dedicated to crafting interconnected Web3 games tailored specifically for mobile devices.
The objective is to establish its own Web3 mobile gaming ecosystem wherein users can seamlessly transfer, utilize, and unlock items across various titles. Additionally, the studio plans to harness blockchain technology to reward user-generated content (UGC) creators and implement marketing strategies based on in-game achievements.
CEO of Ginger Joy Games, Ibrahim Over, emphasized the studio's commitment to redefine the role of blockchain technology in gaming, prioritizing tangible benefits for customers over mere hype. Over stated, "At Ginger Joy, we’re not just integrating blockchain tech; we’re redefining its role in gaming. Our aim is to make the shift to blockchain so smooth for gamers that it feels natural."
Innovative technology lies at the heart of Ginger Joy's operations. Apart from rewarding creators, the studio leverages AI technology to facilitate content creation. By utilizing AI algorithms and analyzing player behavior data, Ginger Joy creates race tracks and game modes, effectively reducing development costs and tailoring content to user preferences.
Russell Brown, Chief Business Development Officer (CBDO) at Matchingham Games, emphasized the necessity for exceptional technical expertise and creative prowess in integrating sophisticated blockchain technologies into mobile gaming. Brown highlighted the strategic collaboration between Ginger Joy and Matchingham Games to address these requirements.
