SWIPES, BUT MAKE IT PREDICTABLE:

EUROPE'S #1 DATING APPS IN 2026

Dating apps are one of the most crowded categories in mobile: tons of brands, constant new entrants, and big differences in culture and behavior from country to country. So you’d expect Europe’s top charts to look messy, with a different leader everywhere, with no clear pattern.

But in 2026, the picture at the very top is much cleaner than that. Based on AppMagic’s top charts, most countries in this list are led by just two apps, although there are big differences between them; and the handful of countries that aren’t is where the map becomes more nuanced.

ONE APP LEADS MOST OF THE MAP

Across 23 countries, Hinge is #1 in 12:

That’s the dominant pattern in this snapshot: the top spot repeats, and it repeats with Hinge.

Tinder is #1 in 5 countries:

Even in a list where Hinge is the most common #1, Tinder still appears at the top in a small set of markets.

What’s useful here is the shape of it: once you step outside Hinge, the #1 spot becomes much more country-by-country, with different apps winning in different places.

CONCLUSIONS

From this AppMagic snapshot, a few takeaways hold up:

heartTick.png

Europe’s #1 dating charts are concentrated, and one app leads most countries in this list.

heartTick.png

There isn’t a single consistent runner-up outside the leaders, beyond Hinge (and Tinder), the #1 spot is fragmented across several apps, with Boo the only repeat across more than one country here.

The “top competitor” can change sharply by country, which is why country-level benchmarking matters.
