AdInMo appoints John Rankin as its new Chief Revenue Officer

AdInMo, a leading mobile in-game advertising platform, has appointed John Rankin, an industry veteran, as its new Chief Revenue Officer. With decades of experience from both game studios and the demand side, including roles at Smaato and as managing director at Outfit7, Rankin brings valuable expertise to his new position.

Rankin initially joined AdInMo in 2020 as Chief Commercial Officer, where he played a pivotal role in establishing programmatic partnerships and fostering relationships with publishers. Recently, he also joined AdInMo’s strategic advisory board.

In his new role as CRO, Rankin will be responsible for driving the commercial strategy, cultivating partnerships, and driving revenue growth across all formats, with a particular focus on building partnerships centered around AdInMo’s hybrid monetization capabilities with mobile game publishers.

Reflecting on his appointment, Rankin shared, "While no one loves the tag industry veteran, bringing together 20+ years experience in ad monetisation it does feel like I’m coming home." He emphasized AdInMo's commitment to delivering the best experience for all communities, citing it as the company's greatest strength.

Rankin highlighted AdInMo's roadmap, which includes initiatives like the PlayerPersonaFramework and innovative formats such as Rewarded InGamePlay, as avenues for multiple partnership opportunities to make in-game advertising a key monetization tool for developers and an effective media channel for advertisers.

Kristan Rivers, CEO, and co-founder of AdInMo, commented on Rankin's appointment, stating, “John has been at the forefront of mobile and digital entertainment for many years. He’s always got his eye on the prize and has been a trusted advisor of AdInMo for several years."
