Carv secures a $10 million Series A funding round to streamline data monetization for gamers

Carv, a pioneering data layer platform, has recently announced a significant milestone with the successful completion of a $10 million Series A funding round. Spearheaded by Tribe Capital and IOSG Ventures, this funding marks a pivotal moment for Carv as it continues to revolutionize data monetization in the realms of web3 gaming and AI.

The platform offers a comprehensive suite of solutions designed to empower both users and corporate clients in managing and monetizing data in a privacy-preserving and regulatory-compliant manner. Carv's primary focus lies in gaming and AI sectors, enabling users to seamlessly share their data with corporate clients for AI model training and market research purposes.

Key components of Carv's offerings include the CARV Protocol for data connection, CARV Play for gaming distribution, and CARV's AI Agent, CARA, for personalized gaming assistance integrated with web3 wallets. This holistic approach ensures that users can maximize the value of their data while maintaining control and privacy.

Central to Carv's mission is the concept of data ownership and monetization rights. With the new funding injection, Carv aims to scale its CARV Portal, launch CARV Link for identity and data authentication, and introduce CARV Database for comprehensive user data management. Victor Yu, co-founder and COO of Carv, emphasizes the platform's commitment to empowering users: "Carv differentiates itself by putting data ownership and monetization rights in the hands of users. Any revenue generated from leveraging users’ data gets shared back with the data creators and themselves."

This user-centric approach has proven to be successful, with Carv achieving profitability since December 2023 and boasting a monthly revenue surpassing $1 million. The platform has amassed a user base of 2.5 million and established partnerships with over 350 gaming and AI companies. Notable participants in the Series A funding round include MetaMask developer Consensys, Arweave, Draper Dragon, Fenbushi Capital, LiquidX, Korea's MARBLEX, No Limit Holdings, and OKX Ventures.

As Carv continues to innovate and expand its offerings, it remains at the forefront of the data monetization landscape, empowering users to harness the value of their data in the evolving digital economy. With its user-centric approach and cutting-edge technology, Carv is poised to drive significant impact in the web3 gaming and AI sectors, shaping the future of data monetization for years to come.
