South Korea follows as the second-largest territory for spending, contributing 20% of earnings ($80 million), despite representing only 5% of global downloads. Japan mirrors its installs exactly, accounting for 7% of revenue contribution ($28 million).

While strategy games continued to generate significant revenues in 2023, with four titles reaching the coveted $1 billion milestone, there is a suggestion that the strategy genre might be experiencing a decline in yearly revenue. This is attributed to its reliance on a small but monetized player base.
