Scalo leads $3.5m investment in publisher Hexacore

Polish mobile publisher Hexacore has successfully secured a funding round of $3.5 million, led by Dubai-based venture capital firm Scalo Technologies. Additional funding came from Xsolla and Estoty, indicating a growing trend of investment in the gaming sector from the Saudi Arabia and MENA regions. This influx of funds has fueled significant acquisitions in the industry, such as Savvy's recent deal to acquire mobile-game publisher Scopely.

Hexacore plans to utilize the investment to further develop its collection of hybrid monetization-focused titles, including its efforts in NFT and web3 gaming. The company aims to offer gamers enhanced ownership and control over their in-game assets through blockchain technology, allowing them to earn and trade digital assets in a decentralized environment.

Mikita Khazau, CEO of Hexacore, expressed excitement about the seed-round investment from Scalo Technologies. This funding will accelerate the development and publishing of their flagship product, Pocket Space, as well as other upcoming game announcements. It will also help bring their vision for web3 gaming to life, expand their talented team, and invest in development and marketing to support growth.

Abdumalik Mirakhmedov, director, and co-founder of Scalo Technologies, expressed strong belief in Hexacore's potential to become a major player in the web3 gaming industry. He highlighted the company's ability to revolutionize gamers' interactions with in-game assets, thanks to its hybrid monetization model.

Hexacore's co-founder and chief executive, Mikita Khazau, emphasized that web3 technology empowers individuals to own and trade gaming assets, but achieving interoperability across multiple games requires game developers' efforts. Hexacore is actively working towards this goal, signaling its commitment to the web3 gaming future.
